If you have a Firestick, Firestick Lite or Weak Internet Service we recommend a change within our TIVIMate App (Downloader Code: 3747407) that can help.

When you are in the app:

  • Click Back on the remote to make Guide appear and arrow back until you are on the main menu with Settings at the bottom.  Navigate to Settings and click OK.
  • Click down to Playlists and click OK
  • Click Ok on the current Playlist
  • Click down to Xtream Codes Parameters and click OK
  • Click down to Output Format and click OK
  • Click down to HLS and click OK
  • Click Back and then a screen will pop up to Apply Changes?  Click Apply
  • Then Click back 3 times to be back to the main menu and now you can use this app.

When the app is installed it will be on MPEG-TS and the difference between that and HLS is:

HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) is an adaptive bitrate streaming protocol, while MPEG-TS is a container format for Video and Audio.  HLS adapts to internet conditions, offering variable quality levels for smoother playback, while MPEG-TS delivers video at a fixed bitrate.  HLS is more flexible and support various codecs, containers, and encryption methods, whereas MPEG-TS is more rigid and limited.
